Hong Kong has no shortage of bars and pubs. Wander through any street, and you will find multiple options where you can try the most popular cocktails of your choice. Do you want something sugary or an additive drink with sour taste? You will have all in Hong Kong.

Don’t know which drink to try and which one tastes the best? We have curated a list of cocktails that you will regret if you don’t try them. Read on to know all of them!

Mojito

The classic among the classics. This popular mint cocktail can be ordered in every bar. With rum, mint, sparkling water, fresh lime, sugar, and grapefruit. For several years the unmistakable number one cocktail in Hong Kong bars. The origin of the Mojito can be traced back to the 16th century when British sailors often visited Cuba. To combat scurvy, they needed vitamin C, which is found in lime. Rum was often available and mixed with the lime and sugar into a primitive Mojito. Not quite as nice as you find them in the bar these days, but the ingredients were essentially the same.

Moscow Mule

This cocktail made from vodka, ginger beer, sugar syrup, lime and mint is served in a copper mug (in most bars). This is perhaps the reason that the drink is so popular as the presentation looks amazing. First, enjoy with the eyes and then with your tongue.

Negroni

Another one in the list of most popular cocktails in Hong Kong. Negroni is a well-known Italian cocktail that consists of one-third Campari, one-third sweet vermouth and one-third gin and an orange peel as garnish. The Negroni is drunk as an aperitif.

The Long Island Ice Tea

A strong cocktail that has been at the top from the very first moment. Often a cocktail where you should not drink too much in one evening. The Long Island contains Vodka, Gin, Tequila, Triple Sec and Rum, supplemented with cola, grenadine and lemon juice. So, there is just about everything in it except ice tea!

The Strawberry Daiquiri

The frozen version- really a topper! Most popular of all is this fruity, sweet strawberry cocktail. Daiquiri was the most-ordered rum-based cocktail in 2018. It is prepared with rum, lime juice, and sugar syrup.

The Caipirinha

A nice Brazilian cocktail! Not everyone makes it as tasty as it should be. A contrast of lime with rum makes the matter of jaw-dropping taste. The variations with fruits in this drink are always amazing in taste. The flavorful taste does not need any improvement but is always refreshing.

The Bloody Mary

Tomato juice, vodka, tabasco, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and a celery stick taste in this popular cocktail. We can say that the Bloody Mary is a cocktail that is not everyone’s number one! Nevertheless, it is a very popular cocktail worldwide that now fits perfectly in the row of classics. Nor is it easy to make — the Bloody Mary is one of the most complex drinks to make but tastes great.

The Margarita: A simple drink with three ingredients, quick to make but undeniably one of the classics among cocktails! The Margarita is originally a Mexican short drink that is intended to drink Tequila in a neat way. All elements of a Tequila shot are therefore incorporated in the Margarita, but then in a beautiful salt rim around the glass and with a lime garnish.
